Hurricane Sandy severely damaged PAL's centers and programs in Staten Island, Coney Island and The Rockaways.  Computers, books and toys are destroyed. Even worse, children who already lost so much in the storm have also lost the one place that always provided a hot meal, a safe place to play and a warm environment in which to grow and learn.

The urgency of this relief effort cannot be overstated.  PAL needs to get these programs back up and running as soon as possible to restore a sense of stability and calm in the face of chaos & tragedy.
